Archer Conducts Survey

The Archer City Council has worked hard to either eliminate or improve dilapidated housing in town. Recently, it found itself as the proud owner of one such property. The council agreed to efforts to sell the property under certain restrictions, but found no responses to their satisfaction. At the August city council meeting Mayor Richard Luedeke reported that Visser Gravel & Excavating is interested in the property. The company estimates the demolition and cleanup at $8,000. After discussion Bill Engeltjes motioned and Sarah Waggoner seconded to accept the bid and have the houses removed....
