1960 Livestock Sale at O'Brien Fair is One of Biggest The 1960 livestock sale, always the final event in the growing O'Brien county 4-H and FFA fair, was again a big and suc?cessful auction of prize calves, hogs and sheep. With Mitch and Percy Vander Tuig, Carl Kracht and Ray Vellinga working as volunteer auctioneers several hundred head of livestock were sold to the highest bidders. One of the reasons for the success of the sales is the lively bidding that results from interested friends of the 4-H boys and girls among the business and professional 9 people of the various towns in the county.
