South O'Brien showed little rust on return from the holiday break as the Lady Wolverines raced out to a 14-point advantage after one quarter of a 55-30 thumping of Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn January 3 at Hartley. The visitors put a stranglehold on the War Eagle Conference contest by taking a 36-14 halftime lead and improved to 2-2 in the loop. South O'Brien raised its season mark to 6-3.
