FCA Food Drive

December 19, 2019

By Kenna Bauer and Reagan Lepley

Every year high school FCA students at South O’Brien participate in a food drive. On November 18, nearly 60 students participated in the event, collecting nonperishable items from Paullina residents. Following the drive, students helped deliver nearly 1,500 times to Upper Des Moines in Primghar. FCA Advisor Kevin said, “We had so many kids show up. The amount of food we collected will help many families.”

The FCA members enjoy participating in the food drive every year. Sophomore member of FCA Kaedon Louchser said, “I enjoyed hanging out with friends and knowing that we are helping people.” There were many first time participants who helped this year as well. Freshman Jalyssa Joines said, “It was fun helping the community and people in need.”
