Volleyball Tournament Play

Going for the block in action against the Generals here in Paullina.

The South O'Brien Wolverines began tournament play at home in Paullina on Tuesday October 22. They faced the Generals of Sibley-Ocheyedan. The Wolverines have been a competitive team all season. They entered the tournament with 16 match wins to 9 losses. They continued their winning ways in the opening match in a 3-0 sweep. Game scores were 25-6, 25-17 and 25-21.

As a team they placed 63 out of 73 serves into play and includes 9 aces. Sydney Struve struck and amazing 25 successful serves and 1 of the aces. Skye Rehder also had tremendous serve success with 17 out of 20 good and includes 5 aces. Taryn Hintz hit the other 2 aces.

Hintz played a strong net Tuesday with 25 kills and only 3 errors.

South O'Brien went on to face Boyden-Hull at Hull on Monday October 28.

Boyden-Hull always competes well into the tournaments. They took on the Wolverines with a winning record of 22-9. B-H defeated the Wolverines in a 3 game sweep: 25-14, 25-17 and 25-14. No other game information is available at press time.
