The Cherokee Symphony will begin its 64th season

The Cherokee Symphony will begin its 64th season Sunday, October 27th at 4 P.M. at the Cherokee Community Center, 530 W. Bluff, Cherokee, Iowa.  The 55-member orchestra under the direction of Ted Hallberg, LeMars, will present the ever-popular annual Cherokee Symphony Pops Concert.  Complimentary popcorn and punch will be available.

 

This year’s concert is entitled Heroes and Villains.  Music from Romeo and Juliet, “The Montagues and the Capoulets”, will recognize Romeo and Juliet as the Heroes.  The Villain is opium in the selection, “March to the Scaffold” from Symphonie F...
