Paullina and Sutherland Police 28E to be Reviewed

The Paullina City Council opened discussions about the 28E agreement it has with the City of Sutherland to provide police backup coverage. Under the current arrangement was put in place to prevent requiring a Sutherland police officer from being required to be on call 24/7. The arrangement has been in place for approximately 5 years.

The City of Sutherland pays the City of Paullina $100 per day to patrol Sutherland for 3 hours for each day off for the Sutherland police officer. If a Paullina police officer is called back to Sutherland there is no additional payment.
