Musical Group 'R&R Line' to Entertain at Sutherland Labor Day Celebration

August 29, 2019

The musical group ‘R&R Line’ will roll into Sutherland to play at the R L Johannsen Community Building as part of the Sutherland Labor Day Celebration on Monday, September 2nd from 1-3 PM.

The group consists of Rex Wittrock and Roger Christiansen, both of Storm Lake, Iowa. They started playing together as a duet five years ago blending their vocals over Rex’s guitar and Roger’s keyboard. The outcome has been an eclectic musical mix ranging from American standards, to traditional polkas, to ‘The Eagles’.

The R&R Line has played a number of places around Northwest Iowa; from block parties, anniversaries, dinner dates and numerous Senior Centers in the area. Their highlight was playing the CellularOne Stage at the 2017 Clay County Fair. They plan to be joined by other local musicians on bass and drums to create that ‘big sound’ for the Labor Day Celebration.

Everyone will enjoy listening and dancing to the music of R&R Line. The entertainment will be free to the public.
