1st Street Thrift and Vinyl Opens

It's a family affair! From left to right Carole Negus, Cherie Friedrichsen and Doug Negus, owner, pitch in to help organize the many items available for sale at very affordable prices. Unpacking and display happens daily. The store does not yet have regular hours, but Facebook posts gives followers notice when they can come search for their special item.

The former American Legion building in Sutherland hosted wedding receptions, birthday parties, Commercial Club events, firemen's BINGO, community dinners and fundraisers. It has a tremendous history and is a meaningful place to residents of Sutherland. Sutherland's American Legion Post now has a new home in the R.L. Johannson Center. The landmark building sold.

Doug Negus purchased the property. He's and sister, Cherie Friedrichsen have been busy, along with other family members pitching in to clean, fix and move merchandise all summer. They are not done yet, but two floors, 6000 square fe...
