Perseid Meteor Shower Party

August 8, 2019

The earth’s orbit is crossing into the debris path of the Swift-Tuttle comet which last passed through the inner solar system over 20 years ago.

Although the best time to view this magnificent event is just before dawn, the O’Brien County Conservation Board will be hosting a Perseid Meteor Shower party on Tuesday, August 13 beginning at 8:00 p.m. Come to the Prairie Heritage Center to learn more about meteors and summer constellations. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and spend some time enjoying the summer night sky.
