SOCS Superintendent Announces Retirement Plans

During the regular session of the South O'Brien School Board on Wednesday July 17 Superintendent Dan Moore announced his retirement plans. He gave notice to the board that he will officially retire on May 31, 2020. Moore will end with eleven years at the helm of the South O'Brien Community School District, and as the longest serving superintendent in district history.

Moore has been in education since 1984 beginning as a teacher/coach at WACO Community Schools. He broke into administration in 1992. He took the Secondary Principal position at the Allison-Bristow School and served there from...
