Tjossem gem, Wolverine bats too much for Cherokee

 

Bailey Tjossem found her groove after the first couple of Cherokee batters in the first inning and never looked back as South O'Brien picked up a convincing 12-2 victory over the Braves in five innings July 2 at Paullina. The first hitter of the game for Cherokee got a base hit, but that would be the only hit that Tjossem would allow for the rest of the night. She struck out two, allowed two runs (one earned) on the one hit, walked three, and hit a batter. "The defense was pretty good behind Bailey, with just two errors," commented Wolverine head coach Heather Struve.
