Casey's Convenience Store Opens New Location

Casey's new store in Paullina

The move across the street has been a long time coming. Casey's Convenience Store has sat on the northwest corner of Grand Avenue and Maple Street for years. The Paullina Casey's is said to be one of the chain's first stores.

Development of a larger more updated store in Paullina has been underway for about a year and a half. First Casey's purchased the former Dyno's property on the southwest corner of Grand Avenue and N. Clark Street. Changes in what services were going to be put in which place happened continually throughout the development process until last week, at last! Casey's Convenience Store opened for business. They offer an additional gasoline pump with several ethanol blends. The food selection has broadened to include sub sandwiches, fresh salads and wraps. The standard pizza and other warmer foods remain in place. A help-yourself cooler with food offerings that did not come from a fryer, aren't donuts, or are fresher: cheese and fruit, yogurt or ready salads are a few of the "healthier" items. Casey's even has a couple of tables for socializing or sitting and eating a quick lunch.

The building was expanded to the south. The coolers remain on the east wall with the same footage for inventory. The rest of the floor space is filled with the typical selection of food, snacks, auto needs, and trinkets.

Casey's in Paullina has a variety full and part time positions available.

They held a grand opening on Friday May 31. It was a very busy place. Lots of prizes were awarded from the spinning wheel.
