Wolverines' Struve at District Meet

South O'Brien's Jeremy Struve qualified for the District Final May 17 after finishing as the top individual from a non-qualifying team at our sectional in George last Friday.  It was a hot day with no wind in Fort Dodge on Thursday and the course was in pretty good shape.

Jeremy got off to a pretty good start on the front nine and just missed a couple of putts that would have really made a difference. Jeremy is one of the most consistent players I've coached and is also very level headed. He did a great job of not getting frustrated and kept pushing through. He shot a 44 on the front nine and a 47 on the back.  The 91 was good enough to finish 30th out of 75 golfers. While I know he was a little disappointed because he wasn't at his best, I couldn't be more proud of him. Jeremy's everything a coach wants in an athlete and South O'Brien is going miss after graduation.  Bigger and better things are on the horizon for Jeremy and I can't wait to see what he accomplishes in the future.
