Changing the Flood Insurance Rate Maps


On May 2 O'Brien County Emergency Management Administration invited the public to an open house for representatives of Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). The point of this open house was to open discussion about the proposed new mapping of the county's floodplain. Information about the Federal Flood Insurance program was also available. A special session was held for elected officials prior to the public open house.
