Five sophomore South O'Brien FFA members participated in one of the several leadership contests that took place at the Sub-District FFA Leadership Contest at Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. The Parliamentary Procedure team earned a Silver Rating and consisted of Jack Farquhar, Jason Wittrock, Eric Mars, Abigail Boardman, and Angela Nyunt.

The team was evaluated on their ability to conduct an orderly and efficient meeting using proper parliamentary procedure. This event encourages students to assist in the development of their leadership, research, problem-solving skills, and critical-thinking skills. The students are asked to carry out five different motions, all taking turns assuming the duties of the chair. After the presentation of the motions, students are asked to answer questions regarding parliamentary law.
