Prom Preview

April 18, 2019

Matt Riedemann signs up for dinner at the golf course while the dinner committee discusses table arrangements.

South O'Brien High School Prom will be held April 27 in the West Gym. Juniors decided on "Big City, Bright Lights" as the theme this year.

The doors will open at 7:00 pm for family and friends who want to see the Grand March, which starts at 8 pm. A free will offering will be taken at the door to help fund next year's Prom.

Prior to the Grand March, Prom attendees will be enjoying a meal in their formal attire at a place of their choice. This year a majority of the students have made reservations at the Primghar Golf & Country Club.

Junior and Senior Class photos as well as couple and friend photos will be taken by Jons Gallery prior to the Grand March.

The dance will be held from 9:00 pm to midnight with After Prom to follow from 12:30 am to 5:00 am at the high school.

The Junior Class raised approximately $4,100 through Schwan's food sales and the annual hog raffle to help fund Prom this year. Juniors who raised $100 get to take the day off from school to help decorate the West Gym for Prom on April 26.
