Sutherland town meeting Thursday - New water tower proposal Sutherland currently has an elevated water tower tank, erected in 1926. This lattice-leg/riveted steel constructed tank has an estimated capacity of approximately 35,000 to 40,000 gallons of water. This storage capacity is much less than the average day's needs. In order to meet the DNR requirements, a new elevated tank greater than the average day's needs should be built.
