South O'Brien Freshman Do Well At Western Iowa Science and Engineering Fair

South O’Brien Freshmen placing at the South O’Brien Science Fair held at Paullina on February 25 had at the opportunity to improve their project for a bigger and tougher competition. That Science Fair, Western Iowa Science and Engineering Fair, was held at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge on Saturday March 14, 2019. Several categories of competition were held and overall winners announced. Overall finalists are invited for further competition.

Two South O’Brien experimenters held the two winning overall positions in the competition and are moving on to the Genius Olympiad. That national competition will be held June 17-20 in Oswego, New York.
