April 9 Plain Conversation to Focus on Nation's Opioid Crisis

“Opioids: The Neighborhood Addiction” is the topic of the next Plain Conversation, scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. at the Fruited Plain Café in Sioux Center.

Cyndee Dather, Compass Pointe’s program manager for the State Opioid Response Grant, will serve as the guest speaker for the evening gathering, which is open to the public free of charge.

Compass Pointe is a non-profit counseling and treatment center for those struggling with alcohol, drugs, gambling and other addictions.

Dather will explain what opioids are and discuss what is happening nationally, statewide and local...
