O'Brien County Conservation Upcoming Events

March 21, 2019

The natural world is filled with color, shape, and design. In 2019, the O'Brien County Conservation Board will be hosting a monthly Nature's Art series to engage people of all ages in looking at nature through an artistic lens.

The next program in the series is "Color the Wind" which will be held at the Prairie Heritage Center on Saturday, March 23. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. Participants will design and craft an easy kite, and then set it sailing on the wind. Come and help to fill the sky with color!

There is no reservation required. This program is suitable for all ages. Call the Prairie Heritage Center – 712-295-7200 for more information.

The O'Brien County Conservation Board is offering an opportunity to get outdoors on a spring evening to listen to the stories in the sky. "Spring Super Stars" is sure to engage people of all ages. Come out to the Prairie Heritage Center on Tuesday, March 26 at 8:00 p.m. There will be a short introductory program in the nature center. Participants will then head out into the night to look for some springtime constellations.

For more information about this and other programs offered by the O'Brien County Conservation Board, call the office at 712-295-7200.
