Brasser Two-Time All-GPAC Indoor Track and Field Honoree ….Aberson competes in GPAC 3000

(Seward, NE) Peyton Brasser, freshmen, Northwestern College, earned All-Conference honors in two indoor track and field events last weekend in Seward, Nebraska, as Northwestern College Men’s Track and Field team competed in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 15. The GPAC Indoors were held on the campus of Concordia University in the Bulldog Fieldhouse on their 200 meter indoor track. Brasser prepped at South O’Brien High School in Paullina, IA.

Brasser ran the 3rd leg of the men’s 4 X 800 M relay team, clocking a 2:01.8 split, with Northwestern placing second behind Dordt College. Northwestern clocked an 8:00.8, while Dordt ran a 7:58.93 for the title. Brasser also captured 8th place of 18 finalists in the open 800 for his second All-Conference performance of the day.

Ben Aberson, junior, Northwestern College, competed in the finals of the GPAC Men’s 3000 M event, placing 18th. Aberson also prepped at South O’Brien High School in Paullina, IA.

The Northwestern men’s team placed 6th of 11 teams in the GPAC. Doane College captured the GPAC Championship. Full results of the GPAC Indoor Championships 2019 can be found at NWCraiders.org. Northwestern College is located in Orange City, Iowa.
