Dinner Theatre Tickets on Sale March 4th!

February 14, 2019

Tickets will be on sale soon for the South O'Brien Dinner Theater! The performance of Hillbilly Hankerin' will hit the stage on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, in the East Gym in Paullina. The production is directed by Dennis Dickmeyer.

Tickets for the production will be available March 4 at the South O'Brien High School Principal's Office. Ticket prices for the dinner and show are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets for bleacher-only seating will be available at the door. They will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. The buffet-style dinner will be served by cast members from 6-7 pm with the show starting at 7:30 pm. The dinner menu will include a choice of Salisbury steak or ham, a baked potato, and the infamous homemade salad bar.

The setting for the play this year is "up in the hills." Pa Hereford and his five daughters live a country life. It seems all the five girls want to do is get hitched. The only exception is Charley, who would rather read than find a man. She is introduced to Marcus Slidell, a government man who is only interested in buying their land. Unfortunately, it's the same land that the Herfords and the Guernseys have been feuding over for decades.  This production was written by Pat Cook and is sure to bring some laughs.
