Wolverines storm past Hinton

Layn Case puts the ball up to score during Wolverine boys basketball action Thursday night.

South O'Brien took early hold of its game with Hinton, leading by 19 points after one quarter on the way to an 81-32 victory January 17 at Paullina. With the win, the Wolverines moved to 6-2 in the War Eagle Conference standings.

The home team enjoyed 58 percent shooting from the floor, making 34 of their 59 field goal attempts. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks were held to 12 baskets on 36 tries for 33 percent. They made five of 10 free throws compared to 10-of-16 free throw shooting for South O'Brien.
