Lady Wolverines record loop win over Hinton

Following two road losses, South O'Brien was ready to enjoy some home cooking once again. Hannah Dau fired in 25 points and the Lady Wolverines handled Hinton 54-33 January 17 at Paullina. With the win, South O'Brien improved to 5-3 in the War Eagle Conference.

The Wolverines got seven points from Kaylee Jacobs, six from Gabby Heeren, five from Megan Waterman, four from Erin Wagner, three from Skye Rehder and two from both Riley Draper and Sydney Struve. Dau and Rehder each notched three assists.

Wylee Sickelka topped the rebounding category with seven boards. Waterman snatched five caroms. Dau came away with three steals.

As a team, South O'Brien shot 38 percent, making 21 of 66 field goal attempts. The Blackhawks were relegated to 12 baskets on 53 tries for 23 percent. The visitors connected on 5 of 6 charity tosses while the Wolverines were 7-of-10 from the line.
