Remsen St. Mary's tops Wolverines in overtime thriller

Spencer Schorg hit two clutch free throws with nine seconds remaining in overtime to send Remsen St. Mary's past South O'Brien 40-38 January 4 at Remsen. The ball became loose on South O'Brien's ensuing drive to the basket and time expired. The win allowed the St. Mary's to improve to 4-1 in the War Eagle Conference and 6-3 on the season. Meanwhile, the Wolverines suffered their second conference loss to go with four wins and fell to 8-2 overall.

In a contest that was close throughout, the Wolverines' Zeke Lundquist hit consecutive baskets to open the fourth quarter, tying the game at 31-31...
