Wolverines put the clamps on Westwood

South O’Brien’s defense was the star as the Wolverines subdued Westwood 48-13 December 8 at Sloan. With the win, South O’Brien improved to 4-1 on the season.

The Wolverines held Westwood to six field goals in 25 attempts (24 percent). In addition, they hounded the Rebels into 28 turnovers. Layn Case came away with five steals and Sean Negus had four thefts. South O’Brien was 19-of-41 from the floor for 46 percent. Westwood also struggled from the foul line (0-for-7) where the Wolverines made 8 of 9 free throws.
