Veteran's Day At South O'Brien Schools

South O'Brien 6th grade students following their military medley recognizing veterans on Veterans' Day.

Students of the South O'Brien School District at both the Paullina and the Primghar sites held ceremonies recognizing 100 years since the end of WWI. As the 5th and 6th grade students explained so eloquently at the South O'Brien Elementary School, the end of hostilities is officially marked at the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month. November 11 was once known as Armistice Day and has, in the United States, become Veterans' Day. It is on this day the honor is paid to all who have served in all wars and conflicts that have involved the United States Armed Forces, all branches.
