Blood Drive

South O'Brien High School Student Council hosted the fall blood drive on November 8, from 9 am to 1 pm in the East Gym. The blood drive was open to the community, but the majority of donors were staff and students. South O'Brien had a total of 14 students and staff members donate blood this year. At the drive, there were 21 donors that registered, 15 were able to donate and 18 units were donated, helping to save the lives of 54 hospital patients.

Donors had the option of donating one unit of whole blood or "doubles." When donating doubles, LifeServe takes two units of blood and filters out...
