Community Meetings about the future Post Office

Are you worried about losing your local post office or what might happen to it in the future? Have you been impacted by post office closures or service reductions? A small team from Harvard Law School who is working to protect the post office is coming to Northwest Iowa from Oct 13-15, 2018. They are hoping to speak with as many people as possible to understand local concerns about possible future closures or reductions to USPS services, the effect of any previous closures or service reductions, and any ideas about how USPS could improve its role in the community.

They are hosting the following meetings to hear about your experiences and viewpoints, and strongly encourage everyone to attend:

Calumet: Saturday, October 13 at 2-3:30 p.m. at the City Council Office (110 West 2nd Street, Calumet, IA 51009)

Hartley: Sunday, October 14 at 12-1:30 p.m. at the hartley Community Center (820 2nd St. NE, hartley, IA 51346)

Questions? Can’t make it but have thoughts on these questions to share with us? We are happy to set up private meetings or phone calls. Please contact Amelia Evans, Clinical Instructor at Harvard Law School! Email: aevans@law.harvard.edu; Phone: 617-949-0585.
