The Flag flies for the first time of the memorial dedicated to Dan Wetherell at the General N.B. Baker Library in Sutherland. The Memorial was dedicated in conjunction with the 200th birthday of Gen. N.B. Baker.

On Saturday, September 29th, 2018 in conjunction with the 200th birthday of General N.B. Baker the dream of the late Dan Wetherell was realized as the flags of the United States and Iowa were hoisted for the first time to the top of the flagpole that now graces the front of the General N.B. Baker Library in Sutherland. The flags were sent aloft by CW3 Jon W. Fischer, SSG Jonathan Kiel and SFC Jevon Klyn (Retired), all were friends and or had served with Dan. The colors that were placed on the flagpole were presented to them by members of American Legion Post #208 of Sutherland. A stone dona...
