State FFA Food Science

FFA teams from 15 chapters participated in this year's Career Development Event designed to provide the student an opportunity to display their agricultural knowledge and skills in the area of Food Science. The 57 individuals who participated in the event completed several activities including demonstration of skills and problem solving in dealing with consumer concerns, food safety and sanitation, aroma identification, taste testing, and product differences. A written examination was included along with a team product development competition.
