Celebrating Freedom

The Sutherland Church of Christ held it 10th annual "Celebration of Freedom" Sunday July 1. The annual event is held around the July 4th holiday, traditionally recognized as the birth of the United States and the freedoms enjoyed by its citizens. Freedom is celebrated at this event with song, food and fun. A car show became part of the festivities in 2017 and again in 2018. Contests for a variety of activities and car categories were awarded. Pastor John Erickson said, "It was a wonderful night and I want to say thank you to all the volunteers, those who donated food, pies ice cream, the many who bought pies and everybody who come and attended supporting this amazing night." "Four for Him", a quartet sang songs of worship on the stage outside near the tent provided for comfortable outdoor eating and near the blow-ups for kids and other carnival games and the dunk tank.
