The Sutherland Library hosts Youth Reading Program with Sanford Museum Archeologist


Cherokee's Sanford Museum Archeologist, Megan Stroh, was invited by the General N.B. Baker Library in Sutherland to speak to youth about the importance of archeology. Students were shown artifacts from Native American history. Stroh also explained that archeological exploration sites are dug out in square sections so as to be examined scientifically and as accurately as possible. She explained that archeologist find ancient "garbage" that has been long abandoned by its users. Photo by Shane D. Johnson.
